How to make Bel / Wood Apple Sharbet

  1. First, take the bel fruit and hit with a rolling pin all around.
  2. Discard the hard shell and scoop out the soft pulp with a spoon in a bowl.
  3. Add 2 cups of water to soak this mixture for 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Next, mash the pulp with your palms.
  5. Now strain the mashed mixture through a fine sieve, adding about ½ to ¾ cup water from time to time while sieving.
  6. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar, cardamom powder, rose water and black salt to the collected bel juice.
  7. Add lots of ice in a glass and pour the juice.
  8. Garnish with a mint sprig and serve chilled.

My Tip:

Can also use club soda.
