Moong Dal plain dosa

Ingredients to make Moong Dal plain dosa

  • Yellow moong dal 2 cups
  • Ginger 1tbsp
  • Green chilli 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Oil as needed

How to make Moong Dal plain dosa

  1. Take yellow moong dal in a bowl.
  2. Wash it properly and soak in normal water for 20 mins.
  3. Drain it.
  4. Take mixer jar.
  5. Add drained moong dal, ginger, green chilli and salt.
  6. Add water little by little and beat it to a smooth batter.
  7. Consistency of the batter should be like a normal dosa batter.
  8. Heat oil on high flame.
  9. Slow the flame.
  10. Take half onion and clean the tawa.
  11. Pour a ladleful of dosa batter on the tawa.
  12. Spread it very thinly and in round shape with a ladle, like normal dosa.
  13. Drizzle oil on sides.
  14. Keep cooking on low flame for few minute till the top dries up.
  15. Turn the side of the dosa.
  16. Cook for few second, then again turn the side.
  17. Fold the dosa in round.
  18. Transfer it to a plate.
  19. Repeat the same process for all the dosa.
  20. Serve hot with sambhar or coconut chutney.
