How to make Mutton Curry

  1. Clean, chop and dry the mutton pieces. Marinate the meat using lime juice, ginger garlic pastes, salt, curd and 1 tsp turmeric powder, add a pinch of garam masala. Let the meat marinate for about an hour.
  2. Add 3 tbsp oil in a cooker, add all the whole masalas - bay leaf, whole black cardamom, Cinnamon sticks, cloves give it a quick stir and then add in the marinated mutton. Sear the mutton well. It takes 10 minutes. Transfer this into bowl.
  3. In the same pressure cooker, heat 3 tbsp oil, add onions, chilies, tomatoes, dhania powder, Turmeric powder and salt, keep stirring till tomatoes and onions become soft and leave oil from sides.
  4. Now add the seared mutton into cooker, add 1 cup water, adjust salt and finally add garam masala. Cover and pressure cook for 20 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle freshly ground green Cardmom powder and coriander leaves.
  5. Serve hot with Roti or Rice or I love to eat with pav/bread.
