Diet Dahi Vada

Ingredients to make Diet Dahi Vada

  • Mung sprouts coarsely grounded 1 cup
  • Green chillies 2
  • Ginger 1 small piece
  • Mint leaves 8 to 10
  • Curd low fat 2 cups
  • Jeera powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Black salt 1 tsp
  • Coriander and mint leaves 2 tsp
  • Sugar alternative to taste
  • Fruit salt 1 tsp

How to make Diet Dahi Vada

  1. Add salt, ground mint leaves, chilli, and ginger paste in grounded mung sprouts paste to form a batter.
  2. Add fruit salt, mix, fill a spoonful of batter in microwave proof idli mould.
  3. Microwave for 4 minutes or till tooth it comes out clear.
  4. Cool and dip vada in butter milk for 5 minutes.
  5. In a mixing bowl add curd jeera powder, red chilli powder, black salt, coriander and mint leaves and sugar alternative. Mix and keep aside.
  6. Place vada in serving plate. Pour the curd mixture and garnish with mint leaves.
  7. Serve cooled.
My Tip: Instead of microwave can steam in idli cooker or normal pressure cooker without whistle for 10 minutes.
