Ingredients to make Sagodaa

  • Socked Bengal gram 2 cup
  • Spinach chopped 2 cup
  • Ginger paste 1/4tsp
  • Garlic paste 2tsp
  • Boil raw mango paste 1tbsp
  • Yellow peas over night socked 4 cup
  • Sugar 2tsp
  • Green chili paste 1tsp or as per ur taste
  • Garam masala 1/2tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1 tbsp +for frying
  • Chopped onion & coriander leaf

How to make Sagodaa

  1. First, take a pressure cooker and put soaked yellow peas, 4 cups water and cook for 2-3 whistle or until becomes soft
  2. Now take a wok put 1tbsp oil and heat it. Now add ginger, garlic and green chili paste, garam masala saute until becomes slightly brown
  3. Now add boil raw mango puree, sugar and cook for 5mins
  4. Now add cooked yellow peas. Add water to adjust consistency
  5. Now grind soaked Bengal gram and make paste
  6. Now in dal paste add chopped spinach,salt and make balls from it
  7. Take a wok put oil in it and heat it. In hot oil fry the balls until becomes slightly brown
  8. Now remove them from oil, and put in yellow peas gravy. cook the gravy for 10-12mins
  9. Your Sagodaa is ready. serve hot garnish with chopped onion& coriander leaf
