Spinach Chickpeas Pulao

Ingredients to make Spinach Chickpeas Pulao

  • chickpeas soaked for 8 hours
  • spinach blanched and pureed
  • Cooked rice 3 cups
  • garlic paste
  • Ginger paste
  • green chilli paste
  • Tejpatta 1
  • Cloves 2-3
  • Cinnamon Stick 1
  • oil 1tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 lemon Juice

How to make Spinach Chickpeas Pulao

  1. Pressure cook chickpeas.
  2. In a deep pan add oil, add tej Patta, cloves, cinnamon, asafoetida, jeera, onions and saute
  3. Then add green chili paste, ginger paste, garlic paste, spinach puree and cook for minutes or two
  4. Then lemon juice, cooked chick peas, salt, cooked rice and mix well.
  5. Serve hot with raita
