Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 5 tbsp chana dal (soaked in water for 2 hours)
  2. 200 gms yam, cut into 1-inch pieces
  3. 3 medium potatoes cut into 1 inch pieces
  4. 1 grated carrot
  5. 10-12 French beans finely chopped
  6. 1/4 cup of green peas
  7. 1 tsp jeera
  8. 1 inch ginger finely chopped
  9. 2-3 Green Chilies
  10. 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
  11. 1/4tsp Haldi powder
  12. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  13. 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  14. 5 tsp lemon juice
  15. Salt to taste
  16. oil

Instructions

  1. Drain chana dal and transfer to a non-stick pan.Add yam and potato pieces and 1 1/2 cup of water.Cover and cook until soft and completely dry.
  2. In a nonstick pan roast jeera.Add carrot, French beans, green peas, ginger, green chilies, and salt.Saute for 5 minutes and let it cool.
  3. Grind the chana dal mixture with the vegetables to make a smooth mixture.
  4. Add Haldi, coriander leaves, garam masala, red chili powder and lemon juice and mix well.
  5. Divide the mixture into equal portions and flatten it to form Kebabs.
  6. Put the kebabs for a couple of hours in the fridge.
  7. Heat the grill pan and place the kebabs in it and cook them turning sides till the kebabs turn golden brown in color on both the sides.
  8. Serve hot with coriander and mint chutney.
