Tofu and peas curry

Ingredients to make Tofu and peas curry

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tbsp jeera (cumin)
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger chopped
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup tofu cut in cubes
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp kasoori methi

How to make Tofu and peas curry

  1. Heat oil in cooker, once the oil is hot, put in the cumin seeds and let them pop.
  2. Then add ginger and fry till it turns brown. Next add in the onion and fry till it turns golden brown in colour.
  3. Next add in the tomatoes and spices, turmeric, red chilli powder. Mix it well and cook.
  4. Then add in the tofu and peas together,cook this for 3 minutes.
  5. Add water as required and close with the cooker lid. Let it cook for 5 minutes.
  6. After its cooked, wait for 3 minutes or so till the pressure releases on its own.
  7. Then open the cooker and add kasoori methi and garam masala. Stir it well together.
  8. Serve hot alongside rotis.

My Tip:

You can also add hing to this recipe.
