Kaala Chana Sundal

Ingredients to make Kaala Chana Sundal

  • oil - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4tsp
  • Cumin seeds -1/4tsp
  • Hing - Pinch
  • Karipatta - 10,12
  • Soaked overnight and boiled kale chana- 100gms
  • Salt to taste
  • coriander powder - 2 tbsp
  • Fine chopped green chilies - 1
  • Dhania patta
  • grated fresh coconut - 1/4 cup
  • lemon juice

How to make Kaala Chana Sundal

  1. Heat oil crackle cumin and mustard seeds and add curry leaves and hing.
  2. Saute green chilies and add Kala chana.
  3. Add salt dhania powder mix well.
  4. Cook for 10 -15 mins till mixture thickens. Can add water in between in little quantity if it dries.
  5. In the end add grated coconut, dhania seeds and mix well.
  6. Switch off the flame add lemon juice according to taste and serve.
My Tip: Use water left after boiling chana in kneading the dough, making soups and shorbat as it is very very healthy.
