ABOUT Red Lentil Pizza Crust Pizza with Sprouts, Vegetables and Cheese Topping RECIPE

This is our very familiar and very favorite pizza but there is a big twist. It is a super healthy and super yummy pizza with red lentil or masoor dal pizza crust.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For the pizza crust:
  2. 1 cup red lentil
  3. Water 1/4 cup or as required to grind lentil
  4. Garlic 3 cloves Finely chopped
  5. Onion finely chopped 1 table spoon
  6. 1 tea spoon oregano, 1/2 tea spoon mixed herb (optional)
  7. 1/4 tea spoon salt
  8. 1/2 tea spoon baking powder
  9. 1/4 tea spoon baking soda
  10. For the topping:
  11. Moong dal sprouts 1/2 cups
  12. Capsicum chopped- 1 cup
  13. Tomato sliced- 1/2 cup
  14. Onion sliced-1/2 cup
  15. Mozzarella Cheese- Grated 1/2 cup
  16. Pizza sauce-6 table spoon
  17. Tomato sauce-2 table spoon

Instructions

  1. Soak the masoor dal for 3-4 hours.
  2. Grind the dal with little water. The consistency should be thick, not runny.
  3. In this dal mix add oregano, mixed herb, salt, baking soda, baking powder.
  4. Add the garlic and onion.
  5. Mix properly.
  6. Preheat the oven at 200C for 10 minutes.
  7. On a baking tray place baking paper.
  8. Pour the batter on it. The batter should have some thickness.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes at 200C.
  10. The pizza base is ready. My yield was two.
  11. Now smear some pizza sauce on the base.
  12. Add the vegetables, sprouts.
  13. Top with cheese and grill for 10 minutes or until the cheese melts.
