Kothimbir Vadi

Ingredients to make Kothimbir Vadi

  • 1 cup Gram Flour
  • 1/2 cup curd/ Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp ginger chilli paste
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Mustard seeds
  • Carol seeds
  • Onions (finely chopped)
  • 1/4tsp Turmeric
  • 1 cup coriander leaves(finely chopped)

How to make Kothimbir Vadi

  1. Mix gram flour, curd, rice flour, water, ginger chilli paste, salt and mix all leaving no lumps.
  2. In a pan add oil. Mustard seeds, Carom seeds, onion and sauce the ingredients for a minute.
  3. Add the gram flour mixture and keep stirring till it becomes thick
  4. Add turmeric, coriander leaves to it and keep stirring till it mixes well for around 7mins
  5. Remove it in a greased tin and spread it evenly on the tin
  6. Cool down the mixture for about 20 mins and unmold it and cut them into 1-inch cubes
  7. Deep fry the cubes in medium heat oil till it's golden brown in colour on both the sides and the dish is ready to be served with coriander mint Chutney
