Rajma chatpati khichdi

Ingredients to make Rajma chatpati khichdi

  • Jammu rajma 200 gms (soaked over night)
  • long grained rice 1 cup
  • onion paste of 2 onions
  • Tomatoe puree 1/2 cup
  • ginger grated of 1/2 inch piece
  • Green chiilies - 1 to 2
  • coriander - 1 to 2 tbsp
  • pudina - 1 to 2 tsp
  • garam masala - 1 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • chilli powder - 1 to 2 tsp
  • ghee 3 tbsp

How to make Rajma chatpati khichdi

  1. In pressure cooker heat ghee. Put onion paste and ginger and roast till brown.
  2. Put rajma, tomato puree, mirchi powder, dry dhania powder.
  3. When it dries up, Put rice, green chilies and water. Salt to taste. Put the pressure cooker on for 8 minutes
  4. After 3-4 whistles, open and check.
  5. Garnish it with dhaniya, pudina, garam masala and serve.

My Tip:

Buy rajma organic as they cook fast.
