Idli Sandwich

Ingredients to make Idli Sandwich

  • Soaked skin black gram 1/2 cup
  • Socked rice 1 cup
  • Boil and mashed potato 1 bowl
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1/4tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce 1 tbsp
  • Green chutney 1 tbsp

How to make Idli Sandwich

  1. First grind urad dal and rice together. Keep batter in warm place for fermentation
  2. Take a wok pot 1 tbsp oil in it and heat it.
  3. In hot oil put mustard seeds when it crackle put turmeric powder and chilli powder, mashed potato, the salt and mix will and cook 6-7 mins. switch off the flame. Stuffing is ready
  4. Add salt to the batter.
  5. Grease the idli stand, fill it and steam cook or 15 mins
  6. Now cut the idli in two part. In one part apply green chutney and tomato sauce to another part
  7. Your idli sandwiches are ready.
