Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup - Fresh Whisked Curd ( Dahi )
  2. 3 cups - Boiled and Peeled Potato Cubes
  3. 1 tablespoons - Besan
  4. 1 tablespoons - Oil
  5. 1 tablespoon - Cumin Seeds
  6. 1/2 tablespoon - Turmeric Powder
  7. 1/2 tablespoon - Garam Masala
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1 tablespoon - Jakhiya
  10. 1 teaspoon - Cumin Powder
  11. 1/3 cup - Water
  12. A pinch of asafoetida
  13. 1 Cup - Chopped Onions

Instructions

  1. Mix the curd and besan in a bowl and whisk well till no lumps remain. Keep aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds, jakhiya, asafoetida, and onions. Sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.
  3. Add the curd-besan mixture, 1/3 cup of water, turmeric powder, and garam masala. Mix well and cook on a slow flame for 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  4. Add the potatoes and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve hot with puris or rotis
