ABOUT Khadi Masoor Pulav With Burani Raita RECIPE

Khadi masoor pulav is a perfect one-pot meal. It goes very well with raita, fried onion and aamti. It is also perfect dish for your kid's tiffin.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Khadi Masoor- 11/2 Bowl ( Soaked for 2-3 hours)
  2. Basmati Rice- 1 Bowl
  3. Onion - 2 Medium Size
  4. Tomato - 1 medium Size
  5. Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsp
  6. Bay Leaf -1
  7. Shahi Jeera - 1tsp
  8. Garam Masala - 2 tsp
  9. Turmeric Powder - 1tsp
  10. Coriander Powder - 2 tsp
  11. Salt as per taste
  12. Oil or Ghee -1 Tablespoon
  13. Coriander Leaves - For Garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the onion and puree the tomato.
  2. Soak the rice for 10 min.
  3. Put the ghee in the pressure cooker and when it gets hot add Shahi jeera and bay leaf. Add onion, AND ginger garlic paste. Saute till it becomes light brown.
  4. Now put all the spices and let the dal cook for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add rice into masala and mix well. Add salt and water.
  6. Pressure cook the pulav and then garnish with coriander leaves. Served hot with burani raita.
