Steamed Dahi Bade

Ingredients to make Steamed Dahi Bade

  • 1cup -Moong dal
  • salt - As per taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon - Roasted cumin powder
  • 3 to 4 cup - Curd
  • Tarmaind chutney - For garnish
  • 1 tablespoon - Chat masala
  • Mint leaves - a couple ( for garnish)
  • Red chili powder - A pinch of two
  • 1 Sachet - ENO fruit salt

How to make Steamed Dahi Bade

  1. Soak the dhuli moong dal for 2hours and grind it to make a paste. Add salt and roasted cumin powder.
  2. Add ENO fruit salt in the dal mixture and mix well. Grease an idli mold and pour the batter into each mold. Steam for five minutes.
  3. Once the badas are done let them cool to room temperature. ( if the toothpick comes out clean they are ready) Place them gently in the beaten curd.
  4. Spoon some tarmarind sauce over the dahi badas. Garnish with mint leaves and red chili powder. Delicious and light guilt free dahi badas are ready to serve.
