Sweet & Sour Chicken

Ingredients to make Sweet & Sour Chicken

  • Boneless chicken cube - 500gm
  • Cornflour - 2 tbsp
  • Egg - 1
  • Cubed onion - 1 cup
  • Cubed capsicum - 1 cup
  • Minced garlic - 1tbsp
  • Minced ginger - 1tbsp
  • Chopped green chili soaked in vinegar - 1tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 2tsp
  • Refined oil - 2cup

How to make Sweet & Sour Chicken

  1. In a bowl add chicken, cornflour, egg, salt and a pinch of black pepper powder, mix well.
  2. Heat oil in a heavy pan, fry the chicken pieces and keep aside.
  3. Heat 2tsp oil, add capsicum, onion, garlic, ginger, salt, pepper and fry a little. Add tomato sauce, soy sauce, sugar and little water. Let it boil.
  4. Add fried chicken pieces and chopped green chillies soaked in vinegar.
  5. Serve with paratha or any rice dish.
My Tip: You can add chopped coriander leaves for better taste.
