ABOUT Chilli Bread RECIPE

This is a quick and very tasty snack which I learnt from a friend of mine.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Bread slices - 6
  2. Onion cubed - 1/2 cup
  3. Tomato, finely chopped - 1
  4. Ginger garlic, finely chopped - 2tbsp
  5. Red chili powder - 1tsp
  6. Tomato ketchup - 2-3 tbsp
  7. Soy sauce - 1tbsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Sugar a pinch
  10. Capsicum - 1/2 cup
  11. Chopped fresh coriander - 2tbsp
  12. oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Cut the bread slices in small cubes. Toast, shallow fry or deep fry the bread cubes. Heat oil and fry the brad cubes till golden brown and keep aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil and fry the ginger garlic till the raw smell goes away, add onion cubes and saute till translucent. Add the tomatoes along with salt,sugar and chopped coriander. Fry till the raw smell goes away. Add ketchup,soy sauce and capsicum, give a nice mix. Add 1/2 cup of water and bring it to a boil.
  3. Add the fried bread cubes and gently mix it. Turn off the gas and garnish with chopped coriander. Serve hot.
