ABOUT Gor Keri RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Raw Mango, cut into small pieces 2
  2. Salt 2 tbsp
  3. Turmeric 1 tbsp
  4. Roasted dhania seeds 3 tbsp
  5. Rai kuria 3 tbsp (half rai)
  6. Methi kuria 2 tbsp
  7. Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  8. Sesame oil 1 tbsp
  9. Hing 1 tsp
  10. Jaggery 3/4 cup cut / grated

Instructions

  1. Take the mango pieces, add salt and turmeric and keep it in the sun for 24 hours. Next day remove the water and pat dry the mango pieces with a muslin cloth.
  2. Put them in jar, add jaggery, mix well and let it stay in the sun covered with muslin cloth. Give a stir every day.
  3. Heat the oil, add all the masalas and fry till it releases a nice aroma. Turn the gas off. Once it cools add this masala to the pickle.
  4. As the pickle ages it tastes better.
