Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Corn starch - 1 Cup
  2. Ghee - 3/4 Cup
  3. Sugar - 3 Cup
  4. Orange food color - 1/8 tbs
  5. Cashews & Almonds - as required
  6. Water - 3+2 Cups or as required
  7. Cardamom Powder - 1/4 tsp
  8. Lemon Juice - 1 tbs

Instructions

  1. Take 1 cup of cornflour in a bowl, add 2 cups of water and a little food color and mix well.
  2. Heat a pan add 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of water, let it come to a boil. When the sugar completely melts then add 3-4 tbsp of lime juice n mix well. Add the cornflour mix and slowly, continuously stir.
  3. Add chopped cashews and cardamom powder, mix well till it turns dense then add 2 tsp ghee and mix continuously till the ghee is absorbed.
  4. Again add 2 tsp ghee and mix. When the ghee is fully absorbed n the halwa and starts to leave sides switch off the flame and spoon the halwa in a greased tin. Add chopped almonds on top of it n let it cool. Once cool cut into desired shapes and serve.
