Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Poha soaked for 5 minutes in water - 1 cup
  2. Chopped onion - 1 big
  3. Curry patta - 5
  4. Rai or mustard seed - 1 tsp
  5. Ginger, chopped - 1 tsp
  6. Oil for frying
  7. Coriander leaves chopped - 1 tbsp
  8. Tomato chopped - 1 big
  9. Moongfali dana roasted - 1/2 cup
  10. Potato - 1 big cut into small pieces.
  11. Green chilli slit - 2
  12. Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  13. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  14. Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
  15. Roasted cumin powder - 1/2 Tsp
  16. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  17. Salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Mix Poha and water and leave for 2 minutes. Strain and press lightly with palms and spread in a plate.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in Kadahi. Fry the moongphali dana if using raw ones. Take out in a bowl and keep aside.
  3. Now fry chopped potato with salt and keep aside in a bowl.
  4. Heat 2 tbsp oil again and add curry patta, rai and green chilli. When rai begins to crackle add boiled cubed potatoes and fry. Add tomatoes, ginger and salt and other spices. Give it a stir and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
  5. When the tomatoes become soft add fried potato and soaked Poha. Stir and squeeze some lemon juice, garnish with coriander and cook for five minutes for a minute or two. Serve with fried moongphali danas.
