Ingredients to make Methi Bhaji Dal Fry | Mendikeerai Parapuarachal

  • I big bunch - Methi leaves
  • 1/2 Cup - Chana dal soaked
  • 1/2 Cup - toor dal soaked
  • 4 - Dry whole red chilies (can be soaked)
  • 5 tbsp - Oil
  • 1 tsp - Mustard seeds
  • A pinch - Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder

How to make Methi Bhaji Dal Fry | Mendikeerai Parapuarachal

  1. Heat oil in pan and add mustard seeds. When they splutter add methi leaves, turmeric powder, asafoetida and stir.
  2. Coarsely grind the dal with red chilies and a little salt. Add it to the methi bhaji. Adjust the salt and add dhaniya and jeera powder, Stir fry till done and then serve hot.

My Tip:

You can add one tsp of rice powder instead of one tsp of besan.
