Garlic Pickle

Ingredients to make Garlic Pickle

  • 100 gm - Garlic pods
  • 100 gm - Grated raw mango
  • 25 gm - Red chili powder
  • 10 gm - Turmeric powder
  • 10 gram - Onion seeds
  • 10 gm - Fennel seeds
  • 10 gm - Fenugreek seeds, crushed
  • 25 gm - Mustard dal
  • Salt to taste
  • 100 gm - Mustard oil
  • 1/4 tsp - Asafoetida

How to make Garlic Pickle

  1. Heat half the oil in a pan, add raw grated mango and cook for 5 minutes. Take it out in a plate.
  2. In the same pan add rest of the oil and add asafoetida, onion seeds, fennel seeds and saute them. Add fenugreek and mustard dal. Give it good mix.
  3. Add red chili powder, haldi powder, salt and mix properly.
  4. Now add the grated mango.
  5. Turn off the flame and let it cool completely.
  6. Now add the garlic pods and mix.
  7. Your garlic pickle is ready . Let it rest for 1-2 days to become more flavorful.
  8. Keep the pickle in the fridge and take it out a few minutes before use. Serve with parathas, khakhras and chapati.
