Ingredients to make Stuffed Karela

  • Bitter Gourd - 2
  • Peanut Powder (Dry Roasted) - 1/2 Cup
  • Garlic, grated - 2 Large Pods
  • Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam Masala - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin Powder - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Jaggery Powder - 2 tablespoon
  • Curry leaves - 1 bunch

How to make Stuffed Karela

  1. Grate bitter gourd and cut in 1 inch circular pieces. Boil it in salt water for 2 minutes.
  2. In a bowl mix peanut powder with grated garlic, salt and powdered masalas.
  3. Stuff the karela with this mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin, curry leaves and stuffed karela, fry until golden in color. When done, take out in a serving dish and have with hot roti or paratha.
My Tip: Don't over boil the karelas.
