Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Raw mango - 500 gm (peeled and cut into small pieces)
  2. Jaggery - 300 gm
  3. Whole red chilies - 2
  4. Salt - 1/4 tsp
  5. Saunf - 1/2 tsp
  6. Zeera - 1/2 tsp
  7. Ajwain - 1/4 tsp
  8. Red chili powder - 1/4 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder - !/4 tsp
  10. Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
  11. Oil - 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a kadahi and fry whole red chilli for two minutes on low flame. Add saunf, ajwain, zeera and let the spices splutter.
  2. Add raw mango pieces, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala powder.
  3. Stir, cover the lid and cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
  4. Turn off the gas and keep the dish aside.
  5. Crush jaggery and heat in a kadahi with 1/4 cup of water. Cook till it melts completely. Add the fried mango pieces to it. Cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from flame and serve with paratha, purees etc. You can store it in airtight containers.
