Methi Malai Chicken

Ingredients to make Methi Malai Chicken

  • Chicken (Boneless) - 200g
  • Bell pepper diced/chopped -1
  • Garlic finely chopped - 6-7 cloves
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Onion finely choped 1 pcs
  • Carrot chopped - 1 small
  • Cauliflower diced - 1/2 cup
  • Kasuri Methi - 1 tablespoon
  • Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 2 tbs
  • Fresh Cream - 1.5 cup
  • Chicken Stock - 1 Cup
  • Black Pepper, whole - 2-3
  • Salt to taste

How to make Methi Malai Chicken

  1. Pressure cook the chicken with 2 cloves of garlic, whole black pepper and a little salt for 2 to 3 whistles. Stir fry vegetables on high flame with oil and some salt.
  2. Take out the cooked chicken, Keep the Chicken stock for further use. Stir fry the chicken pices on high flame with oil & little salt. Take it out on a plate.
  3. Heat oil in the same pan. Add chopped garlic and saute, add chopped onions and cook them until they become golden in color.
  4. Now add fresh cream, black pepper, oregano & kasuri methi. Simmer till you're satisfied with the gravy consistency. Check for the salt and adjust.
  5. Add chicken stock, cook it until the consistency comes to the same level that was before adding the chicken stock.
  6. Add vegetables and chicken. Coat them well with the gravy. Remove from heat. Serve it hot.

My Tip:

●Boil the chicken instead of Pressure cooking. ●Blanch Vegetables instead. Also, You can skip frying the chicken.
