ABOUT Methi Malai Chicken RECIPE

This simple chicken recipe consists of some colorful vegetables, boneless chicken and a strong flavour of Kasuri Methi. The gravy is actually a make over of the popular white sauce used in Pasta.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Chicken (Boneless) - 200g
  2. Bell pepper diced/chopped -1
  3. Garlic finely chopped - 6-7 cloves
  4. Garlic - 2 cloves
  5. Onion finely choped 1 pcs
  6. Carrot chopped - 1 small
  7. Cauliflower diced - 1/2 cup
  8. Kasuri Methi - 1 tablespoon
  9. Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
  10. Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  11. Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  12. Oil - 2 tbs
  13. Fresh Cream - 1.5 cup
  14. Chicken Stock - 1 Cup
  15. Black Pepper, whole - 2-3
  16. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook the chicken with 2 cloves of garlic, whole black pepper and a little salt for 2 to 3 whistles. Stir fry vegetables on high flame with oil and some salt.
  2. Take out the cooked chicken, Keep the Chicken stock for further use. Stir fry the chicken pices on high flame with oil & little salt. Take it out on a plate.
  3. Heat oil in the same pan. Add chopped garlic and saute, add chopped onions and cook them until they become golden in color.
  4. Now add fresh cream, black pepper, oregano & kasuri methi. Simmer till you're satisfied with the gravy consistency. Check for the salt and adjust.
  5. Add chicken stock, cook it until the consistency comes to the same level that was before adding the chicken stock.
  6. Add vegetables and chicken. Coat them well with the gravy. Remove from heat. Serve it hot.
