Khandvi Ravioli

Ingredients to make Khandvi Ravioli

  • For ravioli covering - ¼ Cup Curd
  • 1/2 Cup - Gram Flour
  • ½ tsp - Turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp - Red Chili Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Cups - Water
  • For Stuffing - 1- 2 tbsp Oil
  • ½ tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp - Chopped Green Chilli
  • 1 Cup - Chopped tomatoes (blanched and deseeded)
  • 2 tbsp - Chopped green coriander
  • Red chilli flakes and Oregano - to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Few curry leaves
  • Oil for greasing
  • 2 tbs - Stuffing of red chilli flakes and oregano for garnish
  • Salad leaves and mixed sauces to serve with

How to make Khandvi Ravioli

  1. For ravioli covering - In a bowl mix curd, gram flour, asafetida, turmeric powder, salt and water to make a smooth batter and cook in a pan till it thickens.
  2. Pour the batter on a greased plate and spread. Keep aside to cool.
  3. For stuffing – Heat oil in a pan and put mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilies, chopped tomatoes and salt. Roast well then add red chilli flakes and oregano to taste. Mix green coriander leaves in the end.
  4. Cut khandvi with the help of a round biscuit cutter. In each khandvi put the mixture of tomatoes and cover it from another khandvi then seal it by pressing a fork at the edges. Make all Raviolis like this.
  5. To serve, keep raviolis over salad leaves and garnish with some stuffing. Serve with mixed sauces of your choice.
My Tip: It can be served with butter cream sauce or mixed sauce of your choice. An easy and guilt free Indian snack perfect for parties as a starter.
