Easy Masala Fried Rice

Ingredients to make Easy Masala Fried Rice

  • 2 cups boiled rice
  • 1 big onion (finely sliced)
  • 1 medium tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chillie powder
  • 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
  • 2 Tablespoons Oil
  • Salt to taste

How to make Easy Masala Fried Rice

  1. Heat oil. Add cumin seeds and when they splutter add onions and salt. Saute till onions become soft.
  2. Add tomato and saute till tomato is slightly soft.
  3. Add the turmeric, coriander, red chillie and garam masala powder and saute till it becomes soft and oil separates.
  4. Add the ginger garlic paste and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the boiled rice and mix well.
  6. Serve hot with curds.
My Tip: If you want a tangy fried rice, add a tablespoon of tomato ketchup.
