Instant Rava /Suji Dahi Vadas

Ingredients to make Instant Rava /Suji Dahi Vadas

  • Semolina / Suji - 1 Cup
  • Curd - 1 Cup
  • Ginger - 1" finely chopped
  • Green chilies - 4-5
  • Salt - 3/4 tsp
  • Baking soda - /4 tsp
  • Oil for frying
  • Black salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Pomegranate pearls for garnish

How to make Instant Rava /Suji Dahi Vadas

  1. In a big bowl add Suji / rava, curd, spices and mix it well, keep for 5 minutes. Add baking soda mix it well.
  2. Heat oil in a kadhayi. Dip your hand in water, take little amount of Suji batter and flatten with fingers to make vadas. Slide these vadas in hot oil and fry from both sides.
  3. Shift these vadas in mild hot oil and fry from both sides. Take them out on absorbent paper. Dip fried vadas in lukewarm water for few minutes. Squeeze out vadas with palm.
  4. Arrange vadas on serving platter, pour beaten curd, spices according to your taste. Garnish with pomegranate pearls.
  5. Serve this gluten free instant vadas chilled.

My Tip:

Make vadas ahead for 15 days and store in fridge.
