Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Onion - 2
  2. Tomatoes - 4
  3. Garlic - 7 to 8 pods, chopped
  4. Salt - as per taste
  5. Pepper - as per taste
  6. Oregano - 1 tsp
  7. Basil - 1 tsp
  8. Garlic powder - 1 tsp
  9. Chicken Mince (optional) - 2 tablespoon
  10. Eggs - 5
  11. Oil / Ghee - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take a pan and add oil and fry chopped onions. When the onions turn translucent add chopped garlic and chopped tomatoes. Saute till the oil separates.
  2. In another pan shallow fry the chicken mince to make kababs. I had leftover mince which I marinated with ginger garlic, salt, pepper, green chilies and fresh basil leaves. Add the kababs and break the eggs on the top.
  3. Add seasonings and cover the pan and let the eggs cook. Once cooked, turn off the gas and serve shakshuka with toast.
