ABOUT Gawar Beans Sabzi RECIPE

Gawar ki fali or gawar beans cooked in tomatoes and onions. A spicy side dish and one of my favorites.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Gawar beans - 250 gm
  2. Onions - 4, chopped
  3. Tomatoes - 4, chopped
  4. Oil - 4 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  8. Salt as required
  9. Lime juice - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash the gawar beans and remove the ends cut them in 1 inch pieces keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add onions and fry till transparent. Add tomatoes and cook till they become soft. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and red chilli powder saute well. Add 1 cup water and cook till 2 whistles.
  3. Gawar fali sabzi is ready to serve. Sprinkle lime juice while serving.
