Ingredients to make Zebra Cake

  • Maida - 100 gram
  • Sugar powder - 80 gram
  • Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 10 ml
  • Vanilla essence - 2-3 drop
  • Choco powder - 2 tsp
  • Milk - As required to make smooth batter

How to make Zebra Cake

  1. Take the microwave safe dish and grease with oil and sprinkle maida over it and keep aside. Take Maida, baking powder and baking soda and sieve together 2-3times to mix properly.
  2. Now add sugar and mix well then add oil and mix. Add milk to prepare a smooth batter. Add vanilla essence and mix.
  3. Now divide the batter into 2 equal parts. Keep one part as it is and to the other part add coco powder and mix well.
  4. Now take a baking dish and with the help of same size spoons pour both the batters alternately one over the other and after that draw the pattern with help of toothpick.
  5. Preheat the microwave at 180° and then cook the cake for 12 mins on convection mode. Take it out and serve as desired.
My Tip: If you find the upper layer becoming hard in between or yellowish then cover it with foil paper.
