Ingredients to make Homemade noodles

  • 1/2 cup - whole wheat flour (atta)
  • 1 - tomato
  • 1 - onion
  • 3 tbsp + 1 tbsp - oil
  • 2 tbsp - capsicum chopped
  • 2 tbsp - carrot chopped
  • 2 tbsp - green peas
  • 1 tsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 cups - water
  • salt as needed

How to make Homemade noodles

  1. Mix flour, a tsp of oil and 2 pinches of salt in a bowl, nnead a soft dough by adding required water. Leave for 10 mins.
  2. Roll the dough into a thin chapati. Using pizza cutter or a knife cut the chapati into thin strips as noodles.
  3. Dust an aluminium foil or a big plate or a news paper generously with flour.
  4. Place the noodles on the foil and dust with generous flour so that they don't stick to each other.
  5. Heat oil in a pan or kadhai, add onions and saute until soft. Add the tomatoes, cook until soft.
  6. Add the chopped veggies along with all the dry spices. Add a little water cover and cook until the peas are done .
  7. Add 2 cups water to this and bring to boil .Now drop in the noodles with the dusted flour.
  8. Cook it until the noodles are done . Serve hot.

I normally knead de noodles flour and set it aside. Then make de masala for it. Simultaneously I boil water with a tbsp of oil and good. pinch of salt and drop de noodles in the hot water using a sev press. They are cooked when they rise to the top. Then drain de noodles and add them to de prepared masala and mux it well.
