Moong Daal Paalak

Ingredients to make Moong Daal Paalak

  • Paalak - 350 grams
  • Moong daal - 150 grams
  • Ghee -5 tsp
  • Garlic cloves- 10-15
  • Green chilies- 5 ( chopped)
  • Salt as required

How to make Moong Daal Paalak

  1. Remove the stems of paalak and wash it thee or four times, drain excess water and chop it finely. Wash and soak moong dal for 1 hour.
  2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add garlic cloves fry till golden brown, add green chilies and cook for 1 minute. Add paalak and salt, cook it for 8-10 mins.
  3. Now add moong dal and 3 cups (measuring 100 ml) of water, mix very well and pressure cook till 3 whistles. Switch off the stove, moong daal and paalak is ready to serve.
  4. Pour lehsun tadka and garnish with green coriander leaves before serving.
