ABOUT Mango Chutney RECIPE

A delicious chutney made with half ripe mangoes.

Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. Half ripened mangoes - 4-5 kg
  2. Sugar- 1/2 Cup
  3. Salt - as per taste
  4. Coriander powder - 2 tsp
  5. Mango pulp - 1/2 Cup
  6. Cumin powder - 2 tsp
  7. Boiled water - as required
  8. Cashew nuts - 3-4
  9. Raisins - 5-6

Instructions

  1. Boil the half ripe mangoes till they soften. Remove on a plate and keep aside.
  2. Place a pan add the mangoes with the mangoes pulp . Cook for half an hour on a low flame. When the mangoes get completely cooked a sweet smell will start coming. Add sugar and mix then add coriander powder and cumin powder. Cook for sometime. Add salt as per your taste. Also add cashews and raisins.
  3. Turn off the gas and let the chutney come to room temperature. Fill in clean glass bottles and use as desired.
