Mango Murabba

Ingredients to make Mango Murabba

  • Rajapuri raw mango pieces - 500 gm
  • Sugar - 500 gm
  • Saffron - 1/4 tsp
  • Cardamom - 12 to 15
  • Cinnamon - 2 to 3 pieces
  • Clove - 3 to 4 pieces
  • Nutmeg - 1/4 teaspoon

How to make Mango Murabba

  1. Remove the skin of raw mango and cut in to medium pieces.
  2. Boil the water in a pan. Add the mango pieces in the boiling water and boil for 2 to 3 minutes. Drain the mango in a strainer and keep aside the boil water.
  3. Take sugar in a pan and add the boiled mango water up to the sugar level only and make sugar syrup. Add Saffron at the time sugar syrup boils.
  4. Add boiled mangoes in the sugar syrup stair continuously till you can see the thick consistency of murabba. Grind cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Add the grind spices in the mango murabba.
  5. This sweet mango murabba is ready to serve with roti, puri, paratha or use on bread as a jam.
My Tip: It can stay for whole one year. Store in airtight container
