Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cluster beans, chopped - 2 Cups
  2. Tuar dal - 1 Cup
  3. Tamarind / Imli, soaked - 2 teaspoons
  4. Finely chopped onion - 1 Cup
  5. Crushed garlic - 2 teaspoons
  6. Haldi powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Mirchi powder - 1 teaspoon
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Sambar powder - 1 teaspoon
  10. Oil - 1 tablespoon
  11. Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  12. Curry Leaves - 8 to 10
  13. Whole red chillI - 1

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak tuar dal in water for 5 minutes. Soak imli in warm water.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and prepare tadka. Add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle, add whole red chilli ,curry leaves and crushed garlic. Now add finely chopped onion and sauté for some time.
  3. Add chopped cluster beans and all masala /spices and adjust the salt. Cook covered for 5 minutes. Now add soaked tuar dal in sabji and cook covered for next 5 minutes.
  4. Add tamarind pulp and mix well. Cook for some more time and sabji is ready to serve.
