Bedami poori

Ingredients to make Bedami poori

  • Dhuli urad dal 1/2 cup ( soaked for 3 hours)
  • All pupose wheat flour 1 cup
  • semolina 1/4 cup
  • sugar 1 teaspoon
  • Hing 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Green chilli 2
  • Ginger paste 1/4 teaspoon
  • Jeera powder 1 teaspoon
  • Dhaniya powder 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  • Ghee 2 tablespoons
  • Oil for frying
  • Water for making dough

How to make Bedami poori

  1. Drain water from dal and put it into blender and add hing, salt, green chilli, ginger and make a coarse paste.
  2. Now take flour and semolina add sugar,some salt, jeera dhaniya powder, garam masala,. Mix well.
  3. Now add ghee and crumble. Then add dal paste and make a fine tight dough for making poori.
  4. If needed then add some water. Set aside for 20 mintues.
  5. After 20 mintues again knead the dough for smooth finish.
  6. Heat oil in pan for frying the pooris. Now take a small piece of dough and make ball. And roll a poori with the help of rolling pin .
  7. Repeat this process for other pooris also. Put the poori into hot oil and when one side cook turn on another side and fry till golden brown.
  8. Remove it on a kitchen towel. Serve with dubki wale Allo or any gravy or raita.
My Tip: You can make this in another way with stuffing. But i likeit in this way.
