Lobiya Masala - One Pot One Shot Meal

Ingredients to make Lobiya Masala - One Pot One Shot Meal

  • 1 Katori - Overnight soaked lobiya
  • 2 - Medium sized peeled onions
  • 2-3 - Medium sized tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 - Green chilies
  • 1tsp - Jeera
  • 1tsp - Dhaiya powder
  • Pinch of hing
  • 1tsp - Haldi

How to make Lobiya Masala - One Pot One Shot Meal

  1. Add onions, tomato, green chilies in a mixer and grind them to make a paste.
  2. In a cooker, layer mix ground paste, lobiya and add ginger garlic paste.
  3. On the top layer sprinkle jeera, haldi, hing, dhaniya powder. Add four cups of water.
  4. Now close the cooker and keep on high flame for around six whistles. Turn the gas to sim and keep for around three whistles.
  5. Switch off the flame and let the pressure release by itself.
  6. Now open the cooker and mix everything. Check if the lobiya is cooked perfectly. The time will depend on the quality of lobia.
  7. Serve hot with roti / rice with a dollop of ghee. .
