Ingredients to make Tomato Semi Dry Gravy

  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Urad dal - 1 teaspoon
  • Curry leaves - 10
  • Onion, finely chopped - 1
  • Tomatoes - 5
  • Daniya powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt as required
  • Water

How to make Tomato Semi Dry Gravy

  1. In a pan heat oil and add mustard seeds and Urad dal. As mustard seeds splutter add chopped onion and curry leaves.
  2. Saute till golden brown then add tomatoes.
  3. Then add all masala powders as mentioned in the ingredients one by one and saute it well.
  4. Now finally add water for gravy let it boil for 2- 3 mins.
My Tip: You can add more chilli powder for spiciness. It is best side dish with curd rice, boiled rice, idli, dosas and chapathis.
