Ingredients to make Phirni

  • 1 Tin - Milkmaid
  • 100 grams - Soaked rice
  • 2-3 - Green cardamom (powder)
  • 3 Cups - Milk (150 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon - rosewater
  • Few rose petals and almonds for garnish

How to make Phirni

  1. Strain the water of the soaked rice and then grind it to a fine paste.
  2. Add the milk in the pan and put for heating on medium flame.
  3. While the milk is getting hot add the rice paste and stir constantly making sure that the paste doesn't stick to the bottom. Cook for 5-7 mins.
  4. After cooking for 5-7 mins. add the full tin of milkmaid and mix together.
  5. Then add the green cardamom powder and the rosewater.
  6. Pour it in a bowl and garnish it with rose petals and almonds. Serve chilled
