Ingredients to make Phirni

  • 1 tin of milkmaid
  • 100 grams of soaked rice
  • 2-3 green cardamom (powder)
  • 3 cups of milk (150 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon of rosewater
  • Few rose petals and almonds for garnish

How to make Phirni

  1. Strain the water of the soaked rice and then grind it to a fine paste.
  2. Add the milk in the pan on medium flame.
  3. While the milk is getting hot add the rice paste and stir constantly making sure that the paste doesn't stick to the bottom.
  4. Cook for 5-7 mins.
  5. After cooking for 5-7 mins. add the full tin of milkmaid and mix together.
  6. Then add the green cardamom powder and the rosewater.
  7. Then pour in a bowl and garnish it with rose petals and almonds and serve chilled
