Chutney Roundels

Ingredients to make Chutney Roundels

  • Poha - 1 Cup
  • Cottage Cheese - 1/2 Cup
  • Coconut - 1/2 Cup
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • Chana daal - 3 tbsp
  • Cashew Powder - 2 tbsp
  • salt as per taste
  • All purpose flour or corn flour - 1/4 Cup
  • Green chilli - 1-2 or as per taste
  • Red Chilli - 1 tsp or as per taste
  • Coriander - 1/2 Cup
  • Lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • Jeera powder - 1tsp
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp
  • Oil for frying

How to make Chutney Roundels

  1. For green chutney : Take chana daal, lightly roast and keep aside, Now in a mixer jar add coriander, green chilli, salt, pinch of sugar, chana daal, coconut and grind it well till smooth, add lemon juice in the end and keep aside.
  2. Wash the poha well. Grind coarsely it in a mixer. Now in this add crumbled Paneer (Cottage cheese).
  3. Now add salt, chilli, cashew powder, jeera Powder, garam masala and mix well.
  4. Now give it a round shape, make a hole and fill the chutney inside and roll it well and deep fry in oil til golden brown.
My Tip: When grind chutney don't add much water ,only one or 2 tsp will be enough if required otherwise it wont be fill inside the rolls. Grind Poha coarsely and dont soak ,just wash and use immediately Fry on medium heat so that it could cook well. you can use olive oil for frying to make it healthier.
