Ingredients to make Kacchi dabeli

  • 4 - Round buns
  • 2 tbsp - Amul butter
  • 2 - Medium onions (finely chopped)
  • 1 1/2 or 2 tbsp - Dabeli masala (easily available in the market)
  • 2 tbsp - Oil
  • 2 - Large size potatoes
  • 1 Cup - Sweet dates and tamarind chutney (Sounth)
  • 1 Cup - Coriander chutney
  • 1 Cup- Masala seeng (spicy peanuts)
  • 1 Cup - Nylon sev
  • 1 Cup - Fresh coriander
  • 2 tbsp - Pomegranate pearls

How to make Kacchi dabeli

  1. Heat oil in A non stick pan, add a cup of sweet dates and tamarind chutney, dabeli masala and mixed it well and then add mashed potatoes pinch of salt and water. Mix and cook until the liquid gets absorbed in the mixture.
  2. Transfer dabeli mixture to a plate and spread it properly. Sprinkle masala seeng, pomegranate pearls and coriander leaves on it.
  3. Apply green chutney on one slice of bun and dates chutney on the other side. Add a layer of stuffing and then add some chopped onion, masala peanuts.and cover with the other slice.
  4. Place the stuffed pav on hot tava and press slightly to toast from both sides. Apply butter to toast. Served hot dabeli with nylon sev. Garnish with green chutney, ketchup and masala seeng.

My Tip:

Insted of green coriander chutney you can also use red garlic chutney.
