Scotch Egg Burger

Ingredients to make Scotch Egg Burger

  • 6 - Hard boiled eggs
  • 500 gm - Boneless chicken, roughly chopped
  • 1 - onion, roughly chopped
  • 5-6 - Garlic cloves, roughly chopped
  • 1 inch - Ginger, roughly chopped
  • 1 - Red chilli, chopped
  • 1 - Green chilli, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin powder
  • 2 tsp - Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • For coating : 2 Eggs
  • 2 tsp - Flour
  • 1 Cup - Bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp - Red chilli powder and salt
  • For assembling : 6 Cheese slices
  • 6 - Burger bun
  • Some pieces of salad ingredients ( tomato, onion, cucumber, spinach and cabbage leaves)
  • 1/2 Cup - Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp - Mustard sauce
  • 1/4 Cup - Tomato sauce

How to make Scotch Egg Burger

  1. Take boneless chicken in grinding jar add all masalas like onion, ginger, garlic, salt, both chllies, cumin powder, lemon juice and salt and grind it nicely.
  2. Now break the raw egg in a bowl and mix well. Take flour in another bowl, now first coat boiled egg with flour and do the same with all eggs.
  3. Take bread crumb in a bowl, add salt and chilli powder in it and mix well. Now take flour coated egg and coat with minced chicken well and do the same with all.
  4. Now take chicken coated egg, dip in egg mixture and finally coat with bread crumb. Now do the same with all the eggs.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and fry all the scotch eggs nicely till light brown in colour.
  6. Assembling : in a bowl add mayonnaise, mustard sauce tomato sauce and mix well.
  7. Take a burger bun, slice from the center,spread some mayo and mustard sauce mixture, arrange all salad ingredients, place cut scotch egg, place cheese slice and cover with other half.
  8. Serve it with tomato sauce or green chutney.
My Tip: Eat it like plain scotch egg or as a burger or as an open sandwich.
