Ragi Dhokla

Ingredients to make Ragi Dhokla

  • 1 Cup Ragi Flour
  • 1 cup Rava
  • 1/2 cup sour curd
  • 1 tsp crushed ginger and chilli
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 packet Eno
  • Water as required
  • For Tadka:
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Some curry leaves

How to make Ragi Dhokla

  1. In a mixing bowl add Ragi, Rava, salt ,water and curd.
  2. Mix well and make a smooth and thick batter.
  3. Take the crushed ginger, chilli and add to the batter and mix well.
  4. In a steamer or Kadai place a greased baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl take a eno and 1 tbsp oil and mix well.
  6. Add this to the batter and mix well.
  7. Pour the batter into greased pan and steam for 10 - 12 minute.
  8. Cool for some times and cut into big cubes.
  9. For tadka: heat oil in small pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves. Allow the mustard to splutter .
  10. Remove from gas, and pour it over the dhoklas. Your dhokla is ready serve hot with your favorite chutney.
