ABOUT Tandoori Prawns RECIPE

When I found some really Jumbo Tiger Prawns during my weekend grocery shopping, I grabbed them immidiately because there were only 6 left in the counter. I got them cleaned up nicely and asked the fish monger to butterfly them for me while packed the heads for my cat who dotes on seafood as much as I do. She was one happy cat that day. Since, the prawns were special, I decided to barbecue them in tandoor instead of regular frying or putting them in curry. It was an extremely simple recipe which made for a perfect Sunday Starter during lunch.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tiger Jumbo Prawns - 4 to 6 pieces
  2. Hung Curd - 4 tbsp
  3. 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  4. Freshly crushed ground pepper
  5. 1/2 tsp - Red chili powder
  6. 1 tbsp - Tandoori powder
  7. Juice - 1 lemon
  8. 1 tbsp - Freshly crushed ginger garlic paste
  9. 1 tsp - Mint leaves, chopped finely
  10. 1 tsp - Green chili paste
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate prawns in the above ingredients. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat your microwave in grill mode and grill the prawns for 10 minutes on each side.
  3. Serve hot.
