Ingredients to make Aam Kasundi- Mango Mustard Sauce Recipe

  • 2 tbsp - Black/brown mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp - Yellow mustard seeds
  • 1 Cup - Grated raw mango
  • 6 to 8 - Green chilies
  • 5 Cloves - Garlic
  • 1 tbsp - Apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Salt
  • 5 tbsp - Mustard oil
  • Water as needed

How to make Aam Kasundi- Mango Mustard Sauce Recipe

  1. Soak both mustard in water overnight or minimum 2 to 3 hours. Prep the green mango by peeling it and grating them with a grater.
  2. Place the mustard, grated mango, water, chilies, garlic in the blender and blend to a smooth paste. Add vinegar to the blender jar. Make a smooth paste.
  3. When the paste is almost done ,drizzle mustard oil (more is better), a pinch of turmeric, salt to taste. Give a final pulse in the blender. Now your Aam Kasundi is ready.
  4. Pour out in a glass jar with lid. Top off with Mustard oil and Cover the jar with a muslin cloth and leave it in the sunlight for 2-3 days. Keep refrigerated. This will keep well up to six months in the refrigerator.
