ABOUT Malai Prawns Curry RECIPE

Prawns in thick coconut milk. A delicious curry for special occasions.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cleaned Prawns - 200 gm
  2. Coconut milk - 1 Cup
  3. Turmeric powder - 1tsp
  4. Green chilies - 3
  5. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  6. Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
  7. Mustard oil - 2 tbsp
  8. Ginger paste - 11/2 tbsp
  9. Cumin seeds paste - 1 tbsp
  10. Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  11. Garam masala - 1 tsp
  12. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the prawns with salt and turmeric powder and keep aside for 15 min.
  2. Heat the pan along with 2 tsp oil, add prawns and saute it for 1 min. Transfer into a bowl and keep aside.
  3. In the same pan add remaining oil and add mustard seeds, Cumin seeds and allow the seeds to splutter.
  4. Now add green chillies, Ginger paste,Cumin paste and saute it for 3-5 min. Now add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix it well.
  5. Add prawns and saute it for 2 min. Now add coconut milk and cook on medium heat for 5 min. Now add salt, garam masala.
  6. Serve with Rice or Roti.
