Ingredients to make Idli dhokla

  • Besan 1 cup
  • Suji 2 tsp
  • Water
  • Oil 2..3 tea spoon
  • Salt half tea spoon
  • Sugar half tea spoon
  • Turmeric powder 1/4tsp
  • Green chilli ginger paste 1/2tsp
  • Long cut green chillies 3..4
  • Curry patte
  • Mustard seeds half tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tsp
  • Baking soda 1/2 tsp or fruit salt 1 tsp

How to make Idli dhokla

  1. Mix besan and suji in a bowl
  2. Add ginger green chilli paste in it
  3. Add half cup water to make a smooth batter
  4. Add salt and turmeric powder
  5. Add 1 tsp oil in it
  6. Add 1 tsp lemon juice
  7. Add fruit salt
  8. Grease the idli stand
  9. Pour the batter in idli stand
  10. Steam for 15 minutes
  11. Now make tadka for idlis
  12. Take oil in a pan
  13. Add rai and curry leaves and green chillies
  14. Add 1 cup water
  15. Add lemon juice and sugar in it
  16. Idlis ko ek plate mei nikal kar tadka lagaye
My Tip: Fruit salt should be addeed just before pouring in stand
