Ingredients to make Authentic mango pickle

  • Raw mangoes 2 kg
  • Mustard oil 1/2litre
  • Mustard seeds 1tsp
  • Salt 5..6 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 2 tsp
  • Red pepper powder 2 tsp
  • Asoefodia heeng 1/2tsp
  • Onion seeds kalonji 1 tsp
  • Methidana 2 tsp
  • Saunf 5..6 tsp

How to make Authentic mango pickle

  1. Wash the raw mangoes and dry with a clean cotton cloth
  2. Cut into medium pieces
  3. Pour half salt on these slices in a pot
  4. Keep for 4..5 hours it will release its own fluid
  5. Squeeze mango slices well and keep in sunlight on a cloth for 3..4 hours
  6. Now again mix it in its fluid along with all dry ingredients
  7. Oil ko thoda heat karke cool kare and mix in the pickle
  8. Put it in an airtight container
  9. Keep in sunlight for 2..3 days
My Tip: Always use dry spoon to handle pickles ..water can spoil your pickle
